🌱💧 Wrapping up this year's soil hydrology course as part of the applied physics curriculum for students of agricultural systems.
During the final field exercise, students estimated soil field capacity from texture and bulk density, described soil structure, collected core ring samples, measured volumetric water content using a TDR sensor, assessed the soil water tension using a tensiometer, and evaluated infiltration dynamics with a double-ring infiltrometer.
Throughout the module, students connected soil hydrology with agrometeorology and agricultural engineering, highlighting the central role of physical processes in agricultural systems.
Thanks to all students for their engagement in the field and classroom!
