Strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration at the TUM School of Life Sciences through high‑resolution ion mass spectrometry! We are truly grateful for the support of all three departments in making the #NanoSIMS #SynergyMonth possible. We were happy to organize the first workshop on sample preparation. Together with this fantastic group of participants, we will explore a remarkable diversity of samples this summer: from biochar, roots, and leaves to the gut microbiome, cheese, and even lake nitrifiers, all contributing to a deeper understanding of environmental health. By combining our expertise, we aim to unravel how life‑science processes are ultimately driven by microbes or their molecular components. Understanding where and how intensively these processes take place is essential for advancing environmental and ecological research.
