🌱🌍 Research exchange at the Assembly of the Biodiversity Exploratories
We were glad to present our latest results on nitrogen cycling in grasslands under different management intensities at the recent Biodiversity Exploratories Assembly.
From our team Narda Pacay Barrientos and Steffen Schweizer enjoyed discussing holistic ecosystem interactions, linking soil systems with vegetation dynamics and insect interactions. The Biodiversity Exploratories are a great platform to analyze and realize how interconnected our ecosystems are.
We are excited about moving into the second phase of our BioMON project and diving even deeper into soil (organic) nitrogen cycling together with Stefanie Schulz (Helmholtz Munich), Michael Schloter (TUM School of Life Sciences and Helmholtz Munich), and Michael Dannenmann (KIT Campus Alpin - IMK-IFU).
