The study evaluates existing potentials of biogenic residues, current treatment methods and application possibilities of optimized utilization ways for biogenic residues in the two districts of Pfaffenhofen and Neuburg-Schrobenhausen. The subproject of the research group Resource Flow Management deals with the analysis of the wooden residues. The wooden residues include wood residues from forests, sawmill by-products, industrial wood residues from carpentry resp. furniture industry, wooden garden waste and landscape maintenance wood as well as recovered wood. For the individual residues, energy, CO2- and economic balances of existing and potential recovery processes will be compared. Based on the results developed in the study, recommendations for the optimized utilization of the wooden residues in the rural districts of Pfaffenhofen and Neuburg-Schrobenhausen will be developed.
