Data science for agricultural systems module for summer semester 2024
Announcing our newest module: Data Science for Agricultural Systems Analysis!
Delve into the intersection of technology and agriculture, exploring theoretical and practical aspects of data science applied to agricultural systems. The course emphasizes applied data scientific assessments in the context of crop and grassland systems, livestock, and agroforestry. Gain hands on experience in R for data science and if desired, GIS using QGIS (Quantum GIS). The course focusses on field and survey data experiments and takes an interdisciplinary approach, enabling students to learn and apply data science in the context of their curriculum (social or physical sciences). The module culminates in a project report showcasing students' agricultural data science skills.
Note: This course is a block module beginning in late July. In case of schedule conflicts with exams for SoSe 2024, arrangements will be made to provide necessary course material (slides, seminar content) and any needed additional instruction as needed.
