Research interest
- Entomology
- Conservation ecology
- Social psychology
I am interested in how anthropogenic influences drive global biodiversity decline. My masters thesis focused on the phenological changes of plants and insects due to different spring onsets. My PhD project aims to understand pollinator decline from ecological and social dynamics perspectives and to address the issue by fostering pollinator stewardship. The PhD research is being done jointly with Plant-Insect Interactions (Technical University Munich) and the Department of Psychology (Trier University).
Within the scope of my PhD, my research focus will center on:
(1) understanding and developing strategies via cognitive and social psychology paradigms to motivate people to engage in sustainable behaviors
(2) collecting and standardizing pollinator information from existing literature and field campaigns
