Sat1 Bayern accompanies both research teams in their work on an alternating basis. The team led by Prof. Stephan Pauleit from the Chair for Strategic Landscape Planning and Management is researching trees in Munich. Urban trees provide a habitat for birds, but also for insects and other small animals. They also cool the environment by providing shade and evaporating water.
